The science-fiction horror is set in 1896, late Victorian period, on a secluded island, off the coast of South America. Following shipwrecked protagonist Edward Prendick, as he discovers animal – human hybrid creatures constructed through vivisection by the deranged Dr.Moreu. Designing for film and focusing on two prominent characters of the text, Dr. Moreau and The Sayer of the Law.
