About 

Elise McElroy is an artist and graduate Character and Makeup Designer, BA (Hons) Design for Stage and Screen, IADT Dún Laoghaire.

Since her time at IADT, McElroy has been granted wonderful opportunities to work in both the industry and on local projects.
Being a part of MACNAS' Collide Internship programme, Galway, to short film collaborations with the National Film School Dún Laoghaire and independent IADT Productions. Holding the roles of character designer, puppeteer and make up artist.
 
Recently, McElroy has been able to put her diverse range of skills into action. Designing a two metre bird sculpture influenced by Irish -Celtic mythology in support of MACNAS' Ancient Giant, Con Mór, King of the Birds.
Co-designed and collaborated seven Alien characters for Electric Picnic's TRANSMISSION Stage 2022 and being a part of the Character and Makeup team for the incredible production of semi-opera King Arthur, in collaboration with RIAM and Director Aoife Spillane-Hinks.

McElroy's focus lies in transformative and captivating designs, using mediums such as silicone, plaster, resin, clay, and a variety more. With the aim to connect the embodiment of a world, message or vision.
